Live 8

 Take THAT!

So my computer has been out of commission for the past few weeks.  I completely missed the Live 8 concerts.  There are some positives of having AOL and one is they showed all the concerts so I've been able to watch it all over and over again.  There were some amazing performances and I just wanted to give you some of my favorites.  By the way, if you didn't get to see it, the London crowd in Hyde Park was ten times better than any of the crowds around the rest of the world (including Paris, Berlin, Philly, etc).

My Top 8 Performances from Live 8.

1.  Angels by Robbie Williams -- Yikes, I can see why he left Take That to start a solo career.  Talk about an entertainer.

2.  Like a Prayer by Madonna --  She's the ultimate.

3.  American Idiot by Green Day -- They have definitely come full circle.

4.  Get Back by Paul McCartney -- Every one of these lead singers on my list are all incredible entertainers as well as singers.

5.  Bittersweet Symphone by Richard Ashcroft (lead singer of The Verve) and Coldplay -- August 13 sis.  August 13.

6.  She Will Be Loved by Maroon 5 -- Adam Levine can get it going.

7.  Rockin' In The Free World by Neil Young -- He'll never stop...until the drugs take his heart that is.

8.  Just Like Heaven by The Cure -- If they could have played Friday I'm in love I would have been in...well....heaven.

8a. All These Things That I've Done by The Killers -- So it was reported in Chicago for Lollapolooza that they demanded, and received $250,000 for a one hour set.  That's just insane.

8b.  Numb/Encore by Jay-Z and Linkin Park -- Radio played this song one too many times but it was great live.

That's my Top 8 (plus a couple....).  Obviously these are some of my favorite bands and songs.  Robbie Williams worked over the crowd more than any singer I saw.
